Asianera is a place where Asian influences and Western design, artistry and functionality, traditional motifs and contemporary style intermingle to form the distinctive and eclectic designs which define Asianera’s table art china.
Asianera began in 1995 as a small studio workshop specializing in hand-painted porcelain with big dreams. The founders, Grace Liu and Jian Ping Li, wanted to prove that world class, design-oriented fine china could still be produced from the country that originally defined porcelain beauty. Eight years later, their bone china factory has grown significantly as well as their fine reputation for producing beautiful quality hand-painted bone china tableware and gifts for exclusive stores, boutique, museum shops, hotels, and restaurants around the world.
Asian Fusion would best describe Asianera’s fresh, new porcelain designs-a seamless blending of Asian and Western influence. Inspiration for Asianera’s designs frequently originates from the rich diversity of Chinese art and culture and develops through the perspective of Grace’s bi-cultural Chinese-American background and Jian Ping’s artistic talent for reinterpreting elements and natural objects in a new and unique way. Many of Asianera’s unique designs reflect the ebb and flow of various influences to create patterns and shapes that are neither purely Eastern nor Western. Asianera’s design concept combines the traditional craft of fine hand-painted porcelain with contemporary designs that appeal to the sophisticated and well-traveled who like to surround themselves with an eclectic collection.
