Brand Story
Founded in 1929 in Lumezzane, Italy, Abert began as an artisan workshop producing brass cutlery under the vision of Antonio Bertoli. From the 1950s onward, the company embraced stainless steel, industrial automation, and technological innovation—becoming a pioneer in 1975 with the world’s first engineered production of coloured cutlery combining steel with materials such as ABS, nylon, and wood.
Strategic growth followed with the relocation to Passirano, the acquisition of iconic brands Broggi and Facix, and early adoption of ISO-certified quality systems. Today, nearly a century later, Abert remains family-owned and operated by the fourth generation, continuing to design and manufacture entirely in Italy.
Driven by excellence in raw materials, precision engineering, and refined design, Abert serves the professional Ho.Re.Ca. sector worldwide while embracing a forward-looking commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, renewable energy, circular resource management, and continuous environmental improvement.
Abert has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal in May 2025 (top 30% worldwide), a recognition that certifies Abert’s commitment to maintaining high environmental, social, and ethical sustainability standards.
